Ovangle Road/Mellishaw Lane paths opened (posted June 2005)
New shared-use paths have been opened along the length of Ovangle Road and part of Mellishaw Lane - both very busy roads with heavy traffic. This scheme has been funded via the EDZ Cycling & Walking Network, which aims to provide links from less prosperous residential wards in Lancaster and Morecambe to workplaces - hence this link to the White Lund Industrial Estate.
Cyclists on the path have to give way to other traffic each time they cross a road.
